At BlixRides, we strive to ensure a reliable and fair experience for both Riders and Drivers. Cancellations disrupt plans for everyone involved. Therefore, we have established the following policy to ensure commitment and fairness.

1 General Terms

Ride Credit–Based Refunds

All refunds are processed as Ride Credits within the Blix Platform. Ride Credits are closed-system credits that can be used only for booking future rides on Blix. Ride Credits are not cash and cannot be withdrawn to a bank account by Riders.

Debt Recovery

If a booking payment includes settlement of previous Outstanding Charges (negative balance or penalties), that portion of the payment is non-refundable under any circumstances. Only the fare portion related to the current ride is eligible for refund as per this policy.

2 Cancellation by Rider

Refund amounts depend on how close the cancellation is to the scheduled ride time.

Early Cancellation (> 24 hours)

You will receive a Full Refund of the ride fare as Ride Credits.

Late Cancellation (< 24 hours)

A cancellation fee of 50% of the ride fare will be deducted to compensate the Driver for the disruption.

The remaining balance is credited to your Ride Credit balance.

Last-Minute Cancellation

Cancellations made after the ride has started or within 1 hour of departure may attract a 100% cancellation fee, resulting in no refund.

3 Cancellation by Driver
  • Rider Refund: If a Driver cancels a confirmed ride, the Rider receives a 100% refund of the ride fare as Ride Credits.
  • Driver Penalty: Drivers who cancel confirmed rides (especially within 6 hours of departure) may be charged a penalty (for example, ₹50), which may be deducted from their Driver Earnings.
4 No-Show Policy

For Riders

Once the Driver selects “I Have Arrived”, a 10-minute waiting timer begins.

If the Rider does not arrive or share the OTP within this time, the Driver may mark the booking as Passenger No-Show.

Penalty: The full ride fare may be charged, and no refund will be issued.

For Drivers

If a Driver starts a ride without verifying the Passenger’s OTP, it is treated as Driver Fault.

In such cases, the ride may be auto-cancelled and the Passenger receives a full refund as Ride Credits.

6 Exceptions (Force Majeure)

Cancellation fees may be waived at Blix’s sole discretion in the following circumstances:

  • Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, etc.)
  • Civil unrest, strikes, or road blockades
  • Verified medical emergencies (supporting proof may be required)
7 Changes & Contact

BlixRides reserves the right to modify cancellation fees, percentages, and time thresholds based on demand, city, peak hours, or operational requirements. The in-app calculation displayed at the time of cancellation shall be final.

Disputes

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, you must raise a dispute within 48 hours of ride completion. Disputes raised after this period may not be processed.
