1. INTRODUCTION
Blix Solutions Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) values your trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal and financial information when you use the Blix mobile application and related services (the “Platform”).
By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Personal Information
We collect the following personal information:
- Registration Details: Name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and gender.
- Identity Verification (KYC): Government-issued identification such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Driving License for identity verification and safety.
- Vehicle Data (Drivers): Vehicle registration number (RC), vehicle model, and insurance details.
2.2 Financial Information
- Passengers: We do not store card or bank details. Payments are processed through RBI-authorized payment gateways such as Razorpay. We store transaction references and payment status for record-keeping.
- Drivers: We collect bank account details, IFSC codes, and/or UPI IDs solely to process payouts of Driver Earnings.
2.3 Location Data
We collect precise location data only in the following scenarios:
- Active Ride (App Minimized): While a ride is active (“On Trip”), we collect real-time location data via a foreground service, including when the app is minimized. This allows Passengers to track the vehicle’s progress.
- App Visible: When the app is open, we collect location data to display your position on the map for ride discovery and navigation.

When Tracking Stops: We immediately stop collecting location data when:
- The ride is completed or cancelled, or
- The app is fully closed (removed from recent apps).
2.4 Foreground Service Disclosure
During an active ride, Blix uses a foreground service that displays a persistent notification (e.g., “Ride in Progress”). This ensures uninterrupted location tracking required for safety and navigation while using other apps.
2.5 Camera & Storage Access
- Camera Access: Used strictly to capture photos for identity verification (KYC documents such as Aadhaar or Driving License) and profile pictures.
- Storage / Gallery Access: Used to upload existing photos or documents from your device for KYC or profile setup.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use collected data for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To connect Drivers and Passengers and facilitate Trips.
- Payments & Credits: To process ride payments, manage Ride Credits, and settle Driver Earnings.
- Safety & Trust: To verify users, prevent fraud, and enable safety features such as ride tracking and SOS.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable Indian laws including GST, Income Tax, Motor Vehicles Act, and information technology regulations.
4. DATA SHARING
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 With Service Providers
- Google Maps: For navigation, route calculation, and live ride tracking.
- Razorpay: For payment processing only. We do not share location data with payment gateways.
- Cloud Infrastructure Providers: For secure data storage and processing on compliant cloud servers.
4.2 Between Users
- Drivers may see: Passenger name and pickup location.
- Passengers may see: Driver name, photo, vehicle model, and vehicle number.
Phone numbers are not shared directly wherever in-app communication or masking is available.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information to law enforcement, courts, or government authorities when required under Indian law, including accident investigations or tax audits.
5. DATA SECURITY
We implement reasonable security practices, including:
- Encrypted data transmission using SSL/TLS
- Payment processing through PCI-DSS compliant partners
- Restricted internal access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
Despite safeguards, no system is completely secure. Users share information at their own risk.
6. YOUR RIGHTS & ACCOUNT DELETION
6.1 Managing Your Account
- You may access and update your profile information through the App.
- You may temporarily deactivate your account. Deactivated accounts are hidden but retained securely for reactivation.
6.2 Permanent Deletion
You may request permanent account deletion through App Settings or by contacting support.
- Deleted Data: Personal profile data, photos, and verification documents are removed from active systems.
- Ride Credits & Earnings: Any withdrawable Driver Earnings should be withdrawn before deletion. Ride Credits, if any, may be refunded at the Company’s discretion subject to applicable laws and verification.
6.3 Data Retention (Legal Requirement)
Even after account deletion, we are legally required to retain transaction records and ride history for up to 5 years under Indian laws (including the IT Act and PMLA). Such data is archived securely and accessed only for lawful purposes.
